New Car Patrol in Crestview

Have you been thinking about ways to protect your home? Your community? Over the past year, members of Crestview have worked with City Officials, members of the West LA Police Department and neighboring communities to find out what works best to protect our residents and investments. Two things we learned were that the best defense against burglaries are to do everything we can to prevent crime and that sometimes a community by itself is not trained and equipped to protect itself against crime.

A car patrol service has proved extremely successful in neighboring communities, including Beverlywood. And Vernon Rosado of Alexander Protective Services has been protecting area residents and businesses since 1997. His business is located in La Cienega Plaza which makes him very knowledgeable of our neighborhood already and can be here in a matter of moments.

The best part of having a car patrol in our area is that we are

  • increasing the protection in our neighborhood and sending a clear message to anyone who enters Crestview with the intent of stealing our cars or breaking into our homes.

Each resident who signs up for this service will receive:

  • a sign in your yard—statistics indicate yard signs are the #1 deterrent to a home not being chosen by a burglar
  • a private phone number to call if you see anything suspicious—response time 2—3 minutes vs. up to two hours when calling West LA Police Department
  • peace of mind in knowing that patrol cars are driving throughout Crestview—past your home—four times through out the day and night.

The cost per household is $50 a year. That's less than $5 a month.
